Release Notes
0.2.6 (2026-07-28)
Release 0.2.6 resolves connection failures introduced in 0.2.5, where AI tools on managed Macs could fail with a certificate verification error while the collector was enabled. It reverts the managed proxy-configuration handling added in 0.2.5 to restore working connectivity.
Upgrade Steps
- On Macs where the proxy configuration is delivered by a configuration profile, macOS may ask you to approve the CloudZero proxy configuration again after updating. Approve the prompt to keep collecting. Until it is approved, the collector will not capture activity on that Mac.
- If a tool was already open and failing before the update, quit and reopen it so it picks up the current certificate settings.
Bug Fixes
- Certificate verification failures with the collector enabled: Fixed AI tools including Claude Code and Claude Desktop failing with a certificate verification error on Macs where the proxy configuration is managed by an administrator. Connections now succeed with the collector left enabled, so quitting the app is no longer required as a workaround.
- Proxy configuration handling reverted to 0.2.4 behavior: The app manages its own proxy configuration again rather than adopting an administrator-provisioned one. This reintroduces the approval prompt described under Upgrade Steps, and is a deliberate trade to restore connectivity.
Improvements
- Request context captured for AI activity is unchanged from 0.2.5, including the improvements to activity attribution in that release.
