Release 1.0.0 adds GitHub Copilot as a captured provider for both Individual and Business seats, extends OpenAI coverage, and records the account and interface behind each call. It also restores ChatGPT sign-in and Codex MCP connections on Macs where an incompatible certificate had blocked them, and tidies the menu bar popover and settings window.

New Features

• GitHub Copilot usage is now captured: CloudZero records usage from the GitHub Copilot CLI across all the interfaces it uses to reach a model, for both Copilot Individual and Copilot Business seats.

• OpenAI Chat Completions traffic is captured: Applications calling the Chat Completions interface (the OpenAI API that most third-party tools and SDKs default to) now produce the same records as every other supported provider, for both streamed and non-streamed replies.

• The public OpenAI Responses API is captured: Calls to api.openai.com/v1/responses now produce usage records, where previously only Codex traffic on that interface did.

• ChatGPT web conversations are captured: Conversations in ChatGPT in the browser now produce records of the requested and served model, the conversation, timing, and whether the reply completed. ChatGPT's web interface does not report token counts, so these records carry no usage or cost. Conversations pass through unmodified. Firefox is not yet supported: it uses its own encrypted DNS (DNS over HTTPS) by default, and its ChatGPT conversations are not captured.

• Usage records carry observed account context: Accepted OpenAI calls now record the authentication style, user, and account CloudZero observed on the call, so administrators can separate usage by account without depending on the calling application to report it.

• Claude Opus 5 and Sonnet 5 are priced: Usage on Anthropic's Opus 5 and Sonnet 5 models now carries an estimated cost instead of being recorded without one.

Bug Fixes

• ChatGPT sign-in and Codex MCP connections restored: On some Macs, installing CloudZero left the Codex CLI unable to sign in to ChatGPT or reach its MCP servers, because Codex rejected the whole trust bundle over one certificate it could not parse. CloudZero now leaves those certificates out of the bundle it builds, while keeping the system roots, compatible corporate certificate authorities, and its own certificate in place.

• The popover no longer shows an empty usage panel: When there are no usage cards to show, signed-out users now see the sign-in prompt and signed-in users see "No data to display".

• Opening CloudZero while it is running now shows Settings: Launching CloudZero from Spotlight, Launchpad, or Finder while it was already running did nothing, which is easy to mistake for the app not running when its menu bar icon is hidden behind a crowded menu bar. It now opens the Settings window, reusing it if it is already open.

• Streamed Chat Completions replies arrive whole, with complete usage: Streamed replies could reach the application with internal markers still in place, be held back rather than passed through as they arrived, or be recorded with the token counts from an opening frame instead of the final tally. Requests that carry no message content are now read correctly rather than skipped.

• Requests changed by more than one transform reach the provider intact: When two independent rewrites applied to the same request, one could overwrite the other, dropping a context enhancement directive or misreporting why the outgoing bytes differed. Both now apply together.

Improvements

• Usage records name the interface that produced them: Each record now states which model interface the call actually used (Anthropic Messages, OpenAI Responses, or Chat Completions) instead of leaving it to be inferred from the provider, host, product, or path.

• Clearer credential labels in Settings: The Anthropic credential row and its page header now read "Anthropic Console" instead of "API Console" and "API Billing". The Claude.ai page header no longer reads "Personal Usage".

• ChatGPT sign-in explains what it is for: The ChatGPT sign-in prompt, in both Settings and the setup wizard, now states that signing in lets you view your usage limits and does not affect what CloudZero captures or sends. The separate "About ChatGPT sign-in" card has been removed.

• CLI Account settings panel removed: The Settings window no longer shows the CLI Account panel, which only re-synced Claude Code credentials between profiles. Claude Code capture and sign-in are unaffected.

• ChatGPT settings tab aligned with the others: The ChatGPT tab's cards no longer shift sideways when switching to it from another settings tab.
